The study evaluates the hepatoprotective potential of ethanolic extract from stems of Anisochilus carnosus against CCl4 induced hepatotoxicity in rats. The extract was administered to the experimental rats at two dose levels, and the hepatoprotective effect was evaluated by the assay of liver function biochemical parameters. The study concludes that the ethanolic extract of stems of Anisochilus carnosus possesses hepatoprotective activities depending on the dose levels.
