According to staging of MF/SS by International Society of Cutaneous Lymphomas (ISCL) and the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) criteria, to describe a patient under the stage I(A) (T1,N0,M0,B0-1), he should have at least limited patches, papules and/or plaques covering <10% of the skin. A patch means a skin lesion of any size without significant elevation or induration. Our patient showed no skin lesions, no abnormal lymph nodes or visceral organ involvement and absence of significant morphological changes of the lymphoid cells in the blood.

Recent Global Research Developments in Identifying Early Mycosis Fungoides: A Diagnostic Guide
Diagnostic Classifiers: A recent study developed a 2-gene classifier to distinguish early-stage MF from benign skin conditions. This classifier uses gene expression profiles to improve diagnostic accuracy [1].
Expert Panel Guidelines: An international expert panel has provided guidelines to help clinicians recognize early signs of MF. These guidelines include clinical and histopathologic checklists to reduce diagnostic delays [2].
Holistic Diagnostic Algorithms: Researchers have proposed algorithms that integrate clinical, histopathologic, immunopathologic, and molecular biological characteristics to diagnose early MF more accurately [3].
Prognostic Indices: The Cutaneous Lymphoma International Consortium has developed a prognostic index using data from over 1,000 patients worldwide. This index helps in identifying early-stage MF and predicting disease progression [4].
